So, i recently stumbled over this masterpiece of Fantasy-Literature. I know, pretty late to discover it, but hey, better late than never, right?
The Story is more on the dark side. For example, George R. R. Martin isn't afraid to let important characters die. The characters aren't overly perfect, they seem very real. With emotions and flaws. And, as far as i've come with the series, there is no "happy-go-lucky" ending in sight... the suspense just keeps getting bigger and bigger... can't wait to finish reading!
Which brings me to the only downside of this series... it's not finished yet... and the author seems to take his time.

Anybody else hear read it? (If not, i would strongly advise you to do so, don't let my horrible description of the books scare you off!) I'd be curious to hear your opinion!

It's one of my favourite fantasy series. I love how anyone can die. Also, there are tons of political intrigues.

I never got into it.. all of the blood, underage sex and stuff always seems to appear for the sake of it which has its appeal but.. doesn't really sell it to me. Most people around me like it though so it probably has its merits.

Princess D is ~14 and that one guy some decades older. Snow is more than a handful years longer than me. Why you can make a case for that being good and proper for the world concerned, its not like that was unusual not that long ago pretty much everywhere, and there was at least one other girl around 14 getting it on but I can't remember her name.

Hardly kids but very much youngish teens. But as I said you can always argue makes sense in context.

I haven't read it, nor heard much about it. I *thought* I heard somewhere that they were making a movie out of it, but I can't recall where I heard it, so I might be wrong.

And it happened how many times in several book series?
