Good morning boys and girls,

I have a news update!

11 Apr 2012

Nothing huge, I'm afraid, but... look! It's still twitching!

Imoen SOA v2 is now finished with the writing stage (and Ace is coding it), and I've had a break to recover from the madness which is mod writing. So, I still have two projects on my personal waiting list, and TOB is #3. Fortunately for you guys, Project #1 is pretty damn small (1-2 weeks), and unfortunately, Project #2 is pretty damn big (2-3 months).

"Ah", but you say, "So what, Dearest Mod Maintainer Taig (whom we love so very dearly), does this have to do with anything we care about -- like actually getting the freakin' TOB portion of the damn mod??!"

Well, it means that I plan on starting writing on the TOB portion, sometime in the late summer. I'm hoping for July/August. STARTING writing on it, mind you, not finishing it.

So yes, TOB is still twitching.

(am I allowed to post here? if not, just erase this reply)

Ok! Thank you! Imho (en  ), this is mainly good news! I am really looking forward to your work!

By the way, I'm French-speaking, so if you're looking for someone who would help to translate the TOB part, I'd be glad to. ;)

Ernie already gave this away (nice one, Ernie). I figured Lord M would never actually finish it himself. There were two possible ways it was going to go. It dies or it gets handed over. Honestly I see this as the best possible outcome. The mod gets handed over to a good writer who cares about the project. Can't ask for more.

Good luck an' all, Jash.

I must say i'm kinda sad Lord M gave up on the mod. He'll certainly leave a gap in the BG modding world. Sure i would have preferred for him to finish his work, but i guess this was the best possible outcome.
On the + side, after what i have read from her, TC is about the best person i could wish for to take over the mod.
So i wish you the best of luck and success with the project! I'm sure the outcome will be amazing!

Sad news, But yeah in a way this is good. im very curious to see what will be made of it :) though i hope the change from male to female writer won't mean it will become more women pc focused.

at least we have Lord M music. that's a cool big thing

Lord M was pretty good at building in both male PC and female PC paths, although I must say I don't remember just how different they did (or did not) become in TOB. I'm not planning on neglecting the one for the other, though, so that shouldn't be a problem :)

And yes, we still have his music! Yay! (And if needed/necessary, Kat's a great musician as well)

I'm just stopping by to say "hello". So, hello. (I wonder if this should have gone in it's own topic?)

Some of you may or may not know me. It's cool if you don't. I understand.

I'm Kat/theacefes, though most people in the modding community just refer to me as Ace because they can't be bothered to pronounce or spell my username properly.

I've been around for a while and the Imoen Romance Mod has always been one of my favorites so I look forward to assisting T.C. in what ways I can.

Cheers.

I am sad to see Lord M retire from the mod, but I am a fan of Crumbling Down and have faith in TC's writing. I also really like your mods, Ace, and your music (my favorites are Auren's theme and Ninde's theme).

I know mods are a lot of work, but if this one keeps going, even slowly, I will be grateful to both of you for at least trying to keep it alive. :)

Thanks.

I don't how TC views this, but in my experience, I've always loved the Are We There Yet posts; they are motivating and give me a reason to continue working on mods.
