Okay... got some more info on this.

It looks like the price for Crumbling Down is going to be approximately $15.00 USD + shipping to wherever you are. This takes into account the cost of buying enough paper, enough ink, the glue and finishing spray used to put it together, etc.

I'm going on an estimated total of 15 copies requested so far (it's actually like....13 copies, but I'll make a few more just in case).

Of course, if you know someone else who wants a copy who hasn't requested one yet, tell them ;) The more people who want a copy, the less each individual copy costs.

Actually, what are your thoughts regarding digital copies? A high-quality PDF with a smooth font and a readable lay-out also requires an investment in planning & time and I'd be happy to pay for said investment. Also, a digital copy might appeal to more people who would still like a nicely formatted copy but are hesitant to pay for materials and shipping?

It's official: I have ink, paper, and a kick-ass printer! So I'll begin printing it, actually, this weekend.

So....

If you want a hard copy, email me with your name and address, and how you're going to pay. My email address is over here.

"Name" can be your real one or your board handle -- as long as you're pretty sure it'll actually get to you, I don't care. If you don't want your significant other / parents / whatever to know that you're Redheadlover69 or something, don't use your handle. If you think that the post office simply won't deliver to Redheadlover69, don't use your handle.

Address -- has to be real, obviously. After I get the address, I can tell you how much it'll actually cost to get the book there.

Payment -- I don't care if you mail me a check, pay via Paypal, do a bank transfer, etc. Please do not use money orders (I've seen way too many of those get 'lost' in the mail) or cash (same). And of course you don't have to pay until I'm ready to ship it, but I won't ship it until you have, indeed, paid.

Re: A digital copy

Honestly, I wouldn't mind giving out digital copies, but I'm not sure what that would entail other than sticking it in a PDF with some graphics, bookmarks for chapters, etc. Although, I do have a fully functional copy of Adobe Acrobat now, so it's not impossible.

I'm not sure how I'd calculate costs on such a thing, though -- which is important, as I'm not allowed to legally make a profit from copies. Suggestions?

Well, sneaking in a few graphics, bookmarks and a good font would be all the requirements I'd personally ask for in a good ebook. Regarding calculating costs, my first suggestion would be to ask a nominal fee, roughly a fourth of the shipping version, excluding shipping. I mean, yes, you are not allowed to make profits but you are allowed to charge for the manufactoring costs which partially include the time-investment which you would otherwise donate to actual work and you could facture in the putchase price of Adobe Acrobat, which is, after all, a required part in the assembling of digital copies.
